To facilitate the construction of a corridor between the new terminal and existing infrastructures, the restaurant L’Alititude at the Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) will close completely on November 1, 2017. During the transitional period, food services in the secure airside zone will be temporarily reduced.
Tim Hortons Restaurant, located before the Security Checkpoint will still be available. Passengers wishing to buy food in the secure zone will have access to vending machines* offering a range of sandwiches, drinks and snacks. Starting on December 11, 2017, Nourcy comptoir et traiteur will operate a sandwich bar in the new terminal.
It is still possible for passengers to bring food into the secure zone. For more information on the rules of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA), please see the CATSA website.
The construction of a corridor between the new infrastructures and the existing terminal is needed to join the two buildings. The new corridor will use the space currently occupied by the restaurant L’Altitude, which as a result has to close on November 1. Phase 2 of the YQB 2018 project, which will improve the layout of the existing terminal, will begin on December 11.
* The vending machines accept Canadian and US currency, as well as credit cards.
